Payment must be received before goods are shipped. Online payment is accepted in £ sterling only. Any local taxes or currency fluctuations for overseas customers must be borne by the customer. All prices are in £ sterling and include VAT (where applicable) at the prevailing rate, currently 20%. The Yummy Yank’s VAT registration number is GB 947 5529 80. (The Gair Partnership)
Orders submitted online are sent to us via SSL (secure socket layers) to ensure security. SSL encrypts all ordering information, including your name, address and credit card number, so no one can read it in transit.
By law, you have the right to withdraw from your purchase of an item within seven working days after the date the item is delivered to you. To cancel your purchase during the seven day cooling off period, please return the item, securely packaged, along with the invoice, clearly marked “contract cancellation”. We should receive any cancellation within 7 working days of you receiving your order. For your protection, we recommend that you use a recorded delivery or insured service, as we cannot reimburse your account without receiving the items back first, in perfect condition. We will refund the purchase price of the returned item (excluding delivery charges) within 30 days of cancellation. We will not refund the cost of return shipping.
We do not disclose customers’ information to third parties. All your details are held securely on our servers. We will only use the information we collect about you lawfully, in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998.
This website is operated and maintained in the UK. Unless expressly stated otherwise, these terms, and your use of this website, are governed by English Law. These terms and conditions do not affect consumer statutory rights. Errors and omissions excepted.
Prices on the site include first class, “signed for” delivery or DHL Next Day to UK (Mainland) only. We always obtain a record of despatch. If you wish us to use any other service, please let us know and we will advise any difference in price. Prices for shipping to the European Union and the rest of the World (outside UK and EU) are on the site. Whilst every effort will be made to ensure that all items are in stock, we offer no guarantee of availability and this electronic publication does not constitute an offer for sale. Goods are normally despatched within 3 working days. If we are unable to expedite your order within 7 working days, we will contact you by e-mail with an estimated despatch date and offer you the option of cancelling the order or selecting other goods.
All goods leave us in perfect condition. In the unlikely and unfortunate event of your goods arriving faulty or damaged, please report this to us within 2 days of receipt. You will be asked to return the goods and the original packaging in order for us to make a claim. You may also be asked to complete a declaration confirming the damage and supporting our claim. We cannot do this until the goods have been received by us. Any reasonable postage costs incurred in the return of faulty or damaged goods will be refunded. We recommend goods be returned by a secure method, such as recorded delivery, as we cannot be held responsible for goods lost in transit whilst being returned to us.
