However, the meaning of the name is twofold, the other being dear to my heart. My father’s nickname was Yummy and his twin brother, my uncle’s nickname was Yankee. I can’t think of a better tribute to their memories than to have a business named after them, especially a business that brings smiles to so many, just as they both did. 

 

My father, along with my mom, friends, my daughters, other family members and even old time and contemporary chefs helped to mould me into the cook and baker that I have become. They were and are my inspiration. They began the journey for me and gave The Yummy Yank true meaning.
